Native Black Apple Story
Black Apple Story
Black Apples are a native rainforest fruit tree (Planchonella australis). They grow in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
On our property in Carneys Creek, we have been developing a particular variety of Black Apple that is very high in anti-oxidants as a commercial crop. Rainforest trees tend to bear well every second year and our young trees will be out of production for quite some time, so until then we will be sourcing our fruit from the unique Parent tree, which has suffered for the last two years and not borne fruit particularly well.
This means our popular Brandy and Black Apple will be in short supply again!
We’ll keep you posted. 🙂
